We miss you already!

Although this is the first time I have taken part in a student exchange, I must admit it has been a once-in-a-lifetime experience to me. I had an amazing time and I truly believe that anyone who has this kind of opportunity should definitely go for it. I was a member of the Organizing Committee and I took part in many activities, some of which I’ll explain in this article.

To start with, I would like to talk about the girls that I met during this exchange: Audrey, Joey, Gaby, Kirstin and Ariel. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to get to know them all very well. However, during school breaks and thanks to our first lunch and the farewell “mateada” we shared, I could talk a bit with them about different topics such as the differences between the American and Argentine society, music, movies and so on.

I certainly enjoyed the downtown tour! We went to Plaza de Mayo, Florida Street, Caminito, and the Cathedral. There, each of us delivered a short explanation about the importance of each landmark and the reason why they’re so important. I should say that my favourite spot was Puerto Madero, where we took lots of photos and got on a boat, inside which we found an interesting exhibition that displayed some elements used by sailors in the past.

To conclude, I totally recommend this kind of exchange as it has really helped me to improve my English and my fluency when speaking. So I’m already looking forward to the next one! Girls, come back whenever, we miss you already!
